Mornings are always tough and there’s a very fine line between effortless glam and slobby that we don’t want to cross. EVER. We want to make sure that we always look sleek and on fleek all day, everyday! Here are quick hair hacks and tricks that you can do to make your beauty routines fast and fuss-free!
Wash your hair at night
Who has time to wash, dry, and style their hair in the morning? Not us! Avoid chaotic mornings with the easiest hair hack of washing your hair before you go to bed. This will give you more time to focus on other important things before work/school like your outfit and makeup! This trick is also perfect for those with thick and long hair. You can also blow dry your hair for a little bit and let it completely air dry while you sleep!
Rinse your hair with cool water
It’s not necessarily bad to wash your hair with warm water because it opens up your tresses’ cuticles allowing your hair products and treatments to fully do their job but make sure turn down the temperature to lock the nutrients into your hair. Rinse your locks using cool water to seal the cuticle and strengthen your hair before you do any styling.
Comb, don’t brush
Though brushes are easier to use, hairbrushes tend to create more static and frizz to your hair. Combing is also more suitable if you’re preparing your hair for styling. Always remember to use a comb when detangling, especially when your hair is wet because your hair is at it’s most fragile when wet. Whether your using a brush or a comb, always make sure to start from the ends of your hair working your way up. This hair hack will help to avoid breakage and split ends.
Use dry shampoo before bed
Avoid getting white spots on your hair from your dry shampoo by applying it before you catch some z’s! This will also give the product more time to soak up the oil and sweat build up. You can do touch ups in the morning if you still feel oily. Get rid of the white or gray cast from your dry shampoo by massaging it into your scalp, brushing it out or using your hair dryer on the lowest and coolest setting.
Frame the face
Only style the hair surrounding your face but make sure that the styled pieces aren’t too different from the rest of your hair. If you have curly or wavy hair, curl the pieces near your face and some random pieces at the back. For those with naturally straight hair, quickly run your straightener through the frizzy locks of hair.
